Effective communication can open doors — but unclear messaging, assumptions, and overexplaining can just as easily create barriers. In this engaging session, attendees will learn how word choice, tone, and storytelling impact professional outcomes, leadership presence, and everyday interactions. Participants will walk away with practical strategies to communicate with greater clarity and confidence, including how to limit unnecessary apologies, test assumptions, strengthen direct asks, and elevate both written and verbal communication. 

The session will be led by Tami Palmer, Founder of greyzone, a career mentoring and coaching organization focused on authentic, effective communication. A published author and host of The Intention podcast, Tami combines coaching expertise with creative storytelling to deliver practical, empowering guidance. She is also the Founder of the Professional Moms Community Network and has spoken to organizations including Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Exelon, and LinkedIn on communication, leadership, and professional growth.
