WICT Heartland

Workplace harassment is not a large or small business issue nor is it dependent on the industry. It exists in all types of organizations and industries. The WICT Network: Heartland is here to help you combat this serious issue.  

The Power Shift Project’s Workplace Integrity training helps organizations build cultures where all people can feel they truly belong. The training curriculum is built around four modules.  

  • Critical Thinking: How to analyze common workplace exchanges related to harassment, discrimination and incivility — checking facts, providing context, identifying bias, surfacing assumptions and challenging logic. 
  • Courageous Conversations: How to better understand conflict and responses to it. How to speak proactively (introducing subjects) and reactively (responding to the words and actions of others) to ensure workplace integrity. 
  • Do You Qualify as an Ally: How individuals become trusted forces for good in the eyes of others, building on an understanding of the dynamics of power and privilege, unconscious bias and microaggressions. How to examine and change behaviors and systems that foster inequity.  
  • Cultures of Respect and Trust: How to assess and improve your workplace culture. 

The WICT Network: Heartland has partnered with Tonya McCleary, executive producer at Oklahoma City’s FOX25, to offer The Power Shift Project’s Workplace Integrity training to members. The interactive curriculum uses critical thinking, creative role playing and group exercises to teach ways to proactively prevent sexual harassment and misconduct and the behaviors that can lead to it — such as incivility and bullying.  

The 45-minute sessions will span over four weeks and is limited to the first 25 registered The WICT Network: Heartland members. After you’ve completed all four sessions of the training, you’ll be a certified trainer of this curriculum.
